Details Work in the Med/Surg Tele unit within a short-term acute care, Level I Trauma Center Patient ratio of approximately 1:6-7 utilizing a team nursing model with RN, LPN, and Med Nurse support Day shift schedule, 4x12 hours from 7:00-19:00 On-call and weekend coverage required as needed Weekend block scheduling may be considered, to be discussed during interview Floating may occur between like units or campuses within a 20-mile radius Requirements Active RN license in the state or compact RN license compliant with NLC guidelines (TN or compact required) Minimum of 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele experience required, 3 years preferred At least 1 completed prior travel assignment required; first-time travelers not accepted unless 5 years of specialty experience Large hospital and Level I Trauma Center experience required BLS and NIHSS certifications required ADN accepted; BSN not required for this position Cerner EMR experience preferred Skills required include IV therapy/phlebotomy, central line blood draws, blood product administration, respiratory and airway management, wound care, telemetry monitoring, and cardiac drip management (no titration) Driver's license copy required for consideration Vaccination status must be disclosed Additional Information Provide direct patient care within a team nursing model on a Med/Surg Tele unit Holiday coverage required: if Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's all fall within the assignment, must work 2 of the 3; if only 2 holidays fall within the assignment, must work at least 1 Former permanent staff or travelers must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler Local candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be considered All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application, as RTO requested after an offer will not be honored First-time travelers are not accepted unless they have 5 years of specialty experience American Traveler Job ID P-756833.
