This is a contract on-site position offering a unique opportunity to provide essential psychiatric care within the medical practice industry. As an Associate-level role this position is ideal for a physician looking to make a significant impact in a supportive and dynamic environment.

In this role you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive psychiatric evaluations medication management and therapeutic interventions to a diverse patient population. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality of care contributing directly to the well-being of the community. The position requires a commitment to patient-centered care and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments for patients
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans including medication management
• Provide psychotherapy and crisis intervention services as needed
• Collaborate with primary care physicians psychologists and other healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR) in compliance with regulations
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications adjusting dosages as clinically indicated
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and treatment options
• Participate in case conferences and clinical team meetings to review patient progress
• Adhere to all state and federal regulations including HIPAA and DEA guidelines
• Provide telepsychiatry services if required by the practice
• Stay current with advancements in psychiatric treatments and best practices

Requirements

• Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Psychiatry
• Valid medical license to practice in the state of Lawrence
• DEA registration and ability to prescribe controlled substances
• Associate-level experience in a clinical psychiatric setting
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
• Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Commitment to providing compassionate patient-centered care
• Current BLS or ACLS certification preferred

Schedule: 8-hour day shifts Monday-Friday

No call required

Patient Population: Adults

Average Daily Census: 12-14 patients

EMR: Epic

Outpatient Psychiatry experience needed

Must be board-certified
