RN - Behavioral Health Treatment Services (Thurs to Mon)

WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care to a behavioral health and substance abuse population. The Registered Nurse will complete medical assessments and brief histories on all clients admitted to the program and will monitor and coordinate follow-up care as directed by the Program Director. A qualified candidate must have a minimum of 1 year of experience providing direct patient care to a behavioral/mental health population.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Complete screening, assessments, and care of every client seeking SCSC services (Adults/Youth/Children).
• Evaluate the severity of withdrawal symptoms using established screening tools (if appropriate to Substance Use clients).
• Coordinate delivery and reception of medications with the pharmacy.
• Document all medications received and coordinate management of the meds while the client is at SCSC.
• Observe self-administration of medications.
• Monitor withdrawal symptoms during detoxification according to established protocols.
• Refer for required medical services as appropriate (Internal & External).
• Provide education and consultation to individual clients and/or groups on their health needs.
• Assure clients' compliance with prescribed medical regimens.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation on medical services rendered.
• Complete all clinical documentation in EHR.
• File all documents in the clients' charts upon completion.
• Manage inventory of medical supplies and coordinate replenishment with the Office Manager.

Required Education and Experience

• Masters in Nursing preferred, Bachelors required, with NYS RN license.
• Knowledge of psychiatric disorders and chemical dependency preferred.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Assessment and case management experience.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) speaking preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Requirement

• Behavioral/mental health, substance abuse, detox/rehab, assessment, or related case management experience.
• 1 full year RN experience.
• Experience working on a team and independently.
