Equine Veterinarian

If you’ve been looking for a collaborative team where you can grow your career and build on the areas of equine medicine you enjoy most, this is your opportunity!

McKinlay & Peters Equine Hospital , located in Newman Lake, Washington, is seeking to add an associate veterinarian to our established team. We’re looking for a well-rounded equine practitioner who enjoys general practice and wants the opportunity to develop their own professional interests. Whether your passion is sports medicine, reproduction, dentistry, imaging, preventative care, or something else, bring your interests—we’ll help you build them into a service line of your own.

Established in 1993, McKinlay & Peters has grown from a small practice in Green Bluff into a state-of-the-art equine hospital serving the Inland Northwest. Our veterinarians, technicians, and support staff are passionate about horses and committed to providing comprehensive, high-quality care.

You’ll join an experienced, supportive team that values collaboration, professional growth, and a healthy dose of grit. We’re looking for someone who is resilient, adaptable, and willing to roll up their sleeves if the day gets challenging. If you’re curious, dependable, collaborative, and ready to contribute to the compassionate care of our equine partners, you’ll fit right in.

With this position, we offer the option for a 4-day work week, a $100,000–$120,000 annual salary, based on experience, education, certifications, skills, geographic location & internal equity, and production bonus eligibility based on collections and eligibility criteria. Benefits may include medical, dental and vision insurance, retirement benefits, PTO, short- and long-term disability, and life insurance.

Additional benefits include relocation assistance, an equitable split of emergency duty, a fully equipped ambulatory vehicle, coverage of state licensing fees and professional organization memberships, CE allowance, PLIT, 401(k), support of your professional goals, and a commitment to work-life balance.
