Carilion Clinic has an opportunity available for a Family or Internal Medicine physician to join its busy and thriving outpatient group practice of nine physicians and several ACPs in Martinsville, Virginia. Our 28,000 square foot office building offers onsite dexa scanning, digital imaging, and a sophisticated lab in addition to rotated sub-specialty services to include cardiology, orthopaedics, and neurosurgery. This is an outpatient practice opportunity with admissions covered by the hospitalist group at the local community-owned hospital. The practice physicians provide call from home for practice patients, which is very light, and is shared equally within the group, currently 1:10. Nursing home work is available and optional. Each physician enjoys one half-day off each week with a 4 1/2 day work week. Martinsville, VA is located between Roanoke, VA and Greensboro, NC and is home to Martinsville Speedway, host to Nascar's Nextel Racing. Smith Mountain Lake and Philpott Lake offer some of the state's best bass fishing along with the Smith River. Excellent school systems and some of the area's most affordable housing. Easy access to airport travel and features a hometown community with larger metro areas close by to enjoy a day trip of shopping, fine dining, opera, or snow skiing. Mild, four season climate, you can live easy and relax in the Blue Ridge Mountains of SW Virginia.
