Plant Manager – Foundry Manufacturing
Location: Milwaukee, WI
Salary: $100,000–$120,000 annually
Industry: Foundry Manufacturing

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead operations for a growing foundry manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant operations, including production, safety, quality, maintenance, and employee development. The ideal candidate has a strong manufacturing background, proven leadership experience, and a passion for driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage daily foundry manufacturing operations to meet production, quality, and delivery goals.
Ensure a safe work environment by promoting OSHA compliance and enforcing all safety policies.
Manage production schedules, staffing, workflow, and labor utilization.
Develop, coach, and mentor supervisors and production employees.
Partner with maintenance, engineering, and quality teams to maximize equipment uptime and plant efficiency.
Monitor KPIs, identify improvement opportunities, and implement Lean manufacturing initiatives.
Control operating costs while improving productivity and reducing waste.
Maintain high quality standards and ensure customer expectations are consistently met.
Foster a positive, team-oriented culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

5+ years of Plant Manager or senior manufacturing leadership experience.
Foundry, metal casting, machining, or heavy manufacturing experience is strongly preferred .
Proven ability to lead large production teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of production planning, quality systems, maintenance, and safety regulations.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement initiatives is a plus.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
