Duties and Responsibilities The essential duties include answering telephones, providing general customer service and responding to inquiries. This position also handles administrative duties and operates office equipment. Education, Experience, Licensing Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to: graduation from high school and three years experience in customer service, clerical, or a related field. Possession of a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record is required. Must be able to type 45 Correct Words Per Minute on a typing test administered by Lee County Human Resources. The typing test must be taken and the cwpm met prior to the close of this posting. Supplemental Information Knowledge of specific computer programs (such as word processing and basic spreadsheets). Strong communication skills: verbal and written. Typing tests are administered on a walk in basis at the Human Resources office located on the first floor of the County Administration Building located at 2115 Second St, Ft. Myers, FL 33901, between the hours of 7:30a.m. and 4:30p.m. A photo ID is required to take the typing test. Work Days and Hours Monday through Friday 9:00a.m. - 4:00p.m. Emergency Response/Recovery Activities All County employees are required to work before, during, or after an emergency as needed. This may include temporarily being assigned to work and performing duties outside of the normal scope of their position, location and work schedule to fit the needs of the County and its citizens.
