Staff Accountant

Controllers Staff AccountantPosition Summary: The Controllers Staff Accountant supports daily and monthly accounting operations by monitoring correspondent bank activity, preparing recurring wire requests, processing employee expense reimbursements and credit card statements, reconciling general ledger accounts, researching outstanding items, and supporting department controls, compliance, and backup coverage needs.Essential Functions:Monitor activity in the Federal Reserve and other correspondent bank accounts, generating applicable recurring wire requests, as needed.Process employee expense reimbursements and credit card statements through the Concur system.Reconcile general ledger accounts and research outstanding items on daily, weekly, and monthly frequency.Complete monthly bank analysis entry for correspondent bank accounts.Record affiliate deposits in QuickBooks online for Accounts Receivable activity.Provide backup support for other Controllers staff as needed.Understand and adhere to all bank policies, laws, and regulations applicable to their role.Complete compliance training; follow internal processes and controls as required.Report all compliance issues, violations of law or regulations in accordance with the steps defined in bank policies.Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.Perform other job-related duties or special projects as assigned.Qualifications:Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.Proficient in Microsoft Office products, QuickBooks Online, and other related software.General knowledge of accounting principles and sales and tax regulations.Excellent research capabilities.Accounting experience preferred.Banking experience preferred.Preferred Talents:Accurate and detailedOrganizedEffective CommunicatorTime efficient and deadline drivenSelf-directed and takes initiativeWorking Environment:Some sedentary work.Lifting and/or carrying up to 10 lbs. occasionally.Indoor work.Not exposed to outdoor elements or hazards.This role is eligible for hybrid work from home opportunity under the work from home guidelines upon completion of onboarding.PLEASE VIEW THE APPLICANT TERMS & CONDITIONS BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH YOUR APPLICATION.
