Associate Family Law Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks an associate family law attorney in Omaha, Nebraska. This role offers the opportunity to manage family law matters and contribute to a collaborative, client-focused practice. The successful candidate will work alongside a team dedicated to teamwork, innovation, and exceptional client service. Duties Manage a family law caseload from consultation through resolution. Represent clients in divorce, custody, child support, modifications, and other domestic relations matters. Advocate for clients in mediations, negotiations, hearings, and trials. Draft pleadings, motions, agreements, and other legal documents. Develop practical legal strategies and deliver outstanding client service. Collaborate with attorneys across practice areas to provide comprehensive legal solutions. Participate in business development, networking, and community involvement to grow the practice. Requirements J.D. from an accredited law school. Active Nebraska license or ability to become licensed in Nebraska. Iowa and/or South Dakota licensure is a plus. One+ year of family law or litigation experience. Strong litigation, negotiation, and client advocacy skills. Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational abilities. A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional client service. A portable book of business or established referral network is preferred, but not required. Education J.D. from an accredited law school. Certifications Active Nebraska license or ability to become licensed in Nebraska. Skills Strong litigation, negotiation, and client advocacy skills.
