Your opportunityNew Relic is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to join our IT Engineering team, with a focus on network infrastructure and enterprise AI enablement. You will build and operate the networks that keep our global workforce connected and secure, and you will help deploy AI tools that make the company faster. This is an engineering role built around automation, scalability, and reliability, with real ownership over the platforms you run.We are looking for a systems thinker who automates repetitive work, writes clear documentation, and makes sound tradeoffs between security, usability, and speed of adoption. You will partner with Security, Compliance, Facilities, IT Support, and Engineering teams, and you will have room to lead projects and shape the roadmap.What you'll doYou will own and improve core network infrastructure across our global offices while driving the technical rollout and governance of AI platforms across the company. Day-to-day responsibilities include:Network and infrastructureDesign, deploy, and manage Meraki infrastructure across global offices using the Meraki Dashboard and APIsTroubleshoot and resolve office network issues, including Wi-Fi, switching, VLAN, DHCP, DNS, and connectivity problems.Manage ISP relationships, including circuit procurement, installs, renewals, SLAs, outage escalation, and domain performance trackingPlan and execute office network builds, moves, and refreshes with Facilities and SecurityDesign, deploy, and operate Zero Trust and network security infrastructure (Cloudflare Zero Trust/WARP, VPN, firewall policy)Monitor network health and capacity, respond to incidents, and drive root cause fixesMaintain network documentation, including architecture diagrams, IP plans, runbooks, and SOPsAI enablementDeploy and administer enterprise AI platforms (Gemini Enterprise, Claude, and related tools), including configuration, integrations, and usage monitoringBuild AI-powered automations that reduce manual work across IT and business teamsDesign and enforce AI usage controls, including data protection, DLP, audit logging, and access policiesEvaluate new AI tools and vendors, running pilots and recommending adoption based on measurable impactTeam and operationsBuild integrations and automation using scripts and APIs to eliminate manual toilAct as an escalation point for IT Support on complex network and infrastructure issuesParticipate in a global on-call rotationThis role requires2 years of experience in network, infrastructure, or IT engineeringStrong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, TLS, VPN, proxy, firewall) and proven troubleshooting skillsHands-on experience managing Meraki or comparable enterprise network infrastructureExperience working with ISPs and carriers, including circuit management and outage escalationHands-on experience with enterprise AI or LLM platforms (Gemini, Claude or similar), including administration or integration workProficiency in a scripting or programming language (Python, Bash, JavaScript) and experience building against REST APIsUnderstanding of data security principles as they apply to AI usage (data classification, DLP, least privilege)Strong critical thinking and structured problem-solving skillsClear written and verbal communication, including the ability to document designs and teach othersAbility to work independently and collaboratively across teamsBonus points if you haveCisco Meraki certification (CMNA) or CCNA/Network+Experience with SD-WAN design and multi-site network managementExperience with Cloudflare Zero Trust, DLP, or CASB toolingExperience building agents or workflows with MCP, prompt engineering, or LLM APIsExperience with infrastructure as code or workflow automation (Terraform, Ansible, n8n, or similar)Experience supporting SOX or similar compliance controlsExperience administering SaaS platforms such as Google Workspace, Slack, or AtlassianExperience running AI adoption programs, training, or internal enablementPlease note that visa sponsorship is not available for this position.Qualified applicants may inquire about visa sponsorship (including transfer of a current H-1B visa), but the company does not support or sponsor O-1, F-1, or J-1 visas, or candidates who require commencement of an H-1B "cap case" petition for future work authorization.
