Youth Camp Counselor: Lead, Teach & Inspire Safe Adventures

Description Position Information Location: Brush Creek Ranch Summary: The Camp Counselor will work under the supervision of the Lead Counselor. This person will help facilitate the weekly arrival and departure of campers, teachers and special guests. Providing a safe and healthy environment for middle school age children. Responsibilities:
- Help Lead Counselor plan, lead, and implements camp programs for children
- Supervises campers and ensures their safety, development, growth, skill achievement, and general well-being.
- Ensuring cleanliness of the kitchen and camp site.
- Facilitates lesson plans for daily activities.
- Organizes and leads various small and large group activities.
- Knows and understands all emergency procedures associated with the camp program.
- Will help prepare all meals and keep track of dietary restrictions/allergies for all campers.
- Complete any other tasks assigned by Lead Counselor or leadership.
- Education or experience in camp, youth programs, recreation, working with children or in a related field.
- First AID certification is a plus
