Express Employment Professionals seeks an experienced Grant Accounting Manager to support a dynamic Housing & Community Development team. This role offers a unique opportunity to oversee grant-funded financial operations, ensure compliance with federal regulations, and help drive community-focused initiatives that make a difference. Compensation: $29.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Temporary Assignment: 3 to 6 Months

Key Responsibilities

• Manage financial operations for grant-funded programs and related initiatives.
• Serve as the primary liaison between department leadership and the Finance Department regarding budgets, accounts payable/receivable, and cash management.
• Monitor and analyze grant expenditures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
• Perform monthly reconciliations of grant expenditures and general ledger accounts.
• Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports for leadership.
• Maintain complete and accurate financial records for all grant-funded activities.
• Process journal entries, budget transfers, cash receipts, and disbursements.
• Assist with internal and external audits, monitoring reviews, and compliance assessments.
• Collaborate with program staff to track budgets and financial performance.
• Provide financial guidance and support to stakeholders across multiple programs.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in Grant Accounting, Governmental Accounting, and Financial Management
• Experience managing federally funded grant programs, preferably HUD Grants, CDBG, HOME, HOPWA, and
• ESG Programs
• Strong knowledge of Federal Grant Regulations, 2 CFR Part 200 (Uniform Guidance), Governmental Accounting Principles, and Financial Reporting and Compliance
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Pass a background and drug screening
