You will work closely alongside the existing Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing to ensure comprehensive district-wide coverage. The district is open to discussing preferred age groups and specific schools, tailoring the caseload to your expertise and interests. This assignment is available immediately through March 2026, with the possibility of extension pending district decisions in the spring.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Massachusetts Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing certification
• Previous experience teaching students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing is highly valued
• Ability to collaborate effectively with fellow educators and staff
• Strong communication and advocacy skills for working with students and families
• Flexibility to adapt to varied learning environments and student needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing across various school sites, tailored to their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Partner with another district Teacher of the Deaf to plan, coordinate, and deliver services
• Consult with teachers, staff, and families to promote accessible learning environments
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational goals
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring for assigned students
