This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and teamwork, as well as compliance with established policies and protocols. Below are the key responsibilities, qualifications, and details related to this position.Responsibilities\n \n Titrate LEVO under established protocols.\n Provide comprehensive nursing care to neuro and medical intermediate patients.\n Manage cardiac monitoring and emergency response situations, including interpretation of dysrhythmias.\n Administer IV insulin protocols and manage insulin drips.\n Perform feeding tube care and management.\n Administer Continuous Bladder Irrigation (CBI) and manage pre/post hemodialysis.\n Conduct thorough management of blood product administration and central/peripheral/PICC line care.\n Implement medication protocols related to heparin, PCA, thrombolytic agents, cardiac and vasoactive drips.\n Provide care for patients with neurological conditions, including aneurysms, CVA, and post-surgical needs.\n Manage respiratory care, including BiPAP/CPAP, ventilated patients, and tracheostomy care.\n Adhere to infection control and wound care standards.\n Maintain clear and professional communication following SBAR protocol.\n Qualifications\n \n A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, specifically in Neuro care.\n Prior traveler experience is preferred; first-time travelers will not be considered.\n Experience in Neuro Stepdown, PCU, DOU, IMC, and Telemetry settings.\n Proficiency in EKG interpretation and testing is required.\n Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS; additional certifications such as CCRN, TNCC, and CPI are preferred.\n Must demonstrate teamwork and meet behavioral expectations in all patient and staff interactions.\n Strong adherence to call-off policy is mandatory.\n Work Details\n \n Patient ratios: 1:4 with an average daily census of 24 patients.\n Shifts: Night shifts with options for 36 and 48 hours.\n Unit orientation includes 32 hours, comprising computer training and on-site shifts.\n Travelers are required to work a minimum of 3 weekend shifts every six weeks.\n Special Considerations\n \n Must have a teamwork approach and meet professional behavioral expectations.\n Adherence to the call-off policy will be strictly enforced.\n \n If you meet the qualifications and are ready to make a significant impact in our Neuro Intermediate Care Unit, we invite you to apply and discuss your interest in this opportunity.\n \n Wellspring Nurse Source Job ID #38163089.
