Job description: Industrial Painter — Defense/Aerospace ResourceTek is the Human Capital division of Barge Design Solutions, a multi-disciplined Engineering and Architecture firm. We specialize in providing technical recruitment and staffing services to industry and government in all areas of Engineering, Information Technology, and a broad range of other technical disciplines. In support of our client, a leading defense and aerospace engineering company, we are seeking an experienced Industrial Painter. Painters will be expected to perform all stages of painting and prep to paint in accordance with source documents and company procedures. Will paint a variety of items utilizing various materials (i.e. CARC and Military coatings) Must independently plan details of work, selecting method, equipment and process best suited for particular requirements. Overview Paint and prep parts and vehicles to spec using CARC and other military coatings. Plan your own work: choose methods, tools, and processes to meet requirements. Blend colors accurately and maintain proper painting conditions. Key Duties Mask, sand, grind, prep, and spray paint parts/vehicles. Use spray guns and related equipment safely and effectively. Inspect finished work for quality and spec compliance. Keep the workspace clean and OSHA-compliant. Coordinate with supervisors/engineers on progress, issues, or changes. Requirements High school diploma or GED. 1+ year painting experience preferred. Able to work in indoor/outdoor shop environments with noise, heat, and heavy equipment. Must use required PPE.
