Position Overview Are you a skilled Truck Driver looking to make a significant impact within the commercial glass and glazing industry? This may be the perfect opportunity for you. As a Truck Driver with Countryside, you will safely transport glass, metal framing, tools, and other materials to and from job sites and suppliers throughout the region. This position plays a vital role in supporting field operations and maintaining our company's commitment to precision, safety, and excellence. Candidates with a CDL Class A license are preferred, though CDL Class B holders will also be considered. Key Responsibilities Safely operate company trucks to deliver and pick up glass, aluminum framing, and related materials from suppliers and job sites. Ensure loads are properly secured and transported without damage. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety issues promptly. Assist with loading and unloading materials using appropriate equipment (e.g., forklifts, suction cups, cranes). Maintain accurate delivery logs, trip reports, and delivery documentation. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, project managers, and installation teams to coordinate deliveries. Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety standards. Support warehouse operations and assist with material handling when not on delivery routes. Qualifications Experience: Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience (construction or glass industry preferred). Familiarity with transporting oversized or fragile materials is a plus. Licenses and Certifications: Valid CDL Class A preferred (Class B acceptable). Current DOT medical certification. Clean driving record with no major violations. All-Terrain forklift certification (Company will pay for certification if necessary). Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 80 pounds. Comfortable working in outdoor environments and performing physical tasks such as lifting, climbing, and securing loads. Other: Reliable, punctual, and safety focused.
