Associate Federal Project Manager - US Remote

Overview Note: This is a remote position for candidates residing in the continental U.S., requiring 25%-50% travel to support projects. The Project Manager is responsible for the implementation of Communication System Projects and will act and be recognized as the leader/focal point for all aspects of assigned project(s). The PM delivers the contractual scope on schedule and within budget while maintaining customer satisfaction. They utilize PM tools such as schedule planning, critical‑path analysis, budget, change‑order, risk assessment, and action‑item log to analyze complex issues and develop resolutions. The PM allocates all necessary resources, communicates directly to the customer’s organization and relevant senior stakeholders internally through project reviews, and maintains the overall financial health of all projects. Responsibilities Leads large projects or portions of complex projects. Demonstrates a firm understanding of all nine areas of PMBOK project management and has expertise in two areas. Experienced in running project phases and oversees the development of the complete project plan. Establishes, tracks, and audits project budgets, analyzes variances, and develops action plans as required. Represents the organization on projects. Accounts for accomplishing stated project objectives within stipulated time and budget. Ensures that the three constraints—quality, cost, and time—are properly managed. Specific Knowledge/Skills Experience with at least one of the following: Public Safety communications systems, Cellular infrastructure, Military communications, Civil construction, Logistics, Telecommunications, or IT Networks. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Project). PM Masters Certificate aplus. PMP highly desired. PMP and/or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM). Understanding of two‑way radio/cellular infrastructure communications products, services, and systems. Self‑motivated team player able to work effectively with general guidance toward objectives. Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills. Basic Requirements Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years of project/program management or similar business experience. OR 5+ years of project/program management or similar business experience. Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain necessary security clearance as required by government contract. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
