Nurse Manager, Observation Unit

Nurse ManagerSt. Peter's Hospital is seeking an experienced and collaborative Nurse Manager to lead our 4 GAB Observation Unit. This leader will be responsible for the clinical, operational, financial, and people management functions of a fast-paced observation environment that supports patient flow throughout the hospital.The Nurse Manager will provide direct oversight of daily operations, staffing, quality outcomes, patient experience, and colleague engagement while driving initiatives focused on throughput optimization, reduction of Emergency Department and inpatient length of stay, and efficient utilization of hospital resources. This position plays a critical role in supporting organizational capacity management and ensuring timely, safe, and patient-centered care delivery.Required Qualifications:Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.Current New York State Registered Nurse licensure.Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).Three (3) years of progressive clinical nursing experience.Demonstrated leadership experience in an acute care setting.Strong knowledge of patient flow, staffing management, quality improvement, and regulatory standards.Preferred Qualifications:Master's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field.Previous leadership experience in Observation, Emergency, Medical-Surgical, Throughput, or Capacity Management environments.National nursing certification in a related specialty.At Trinity Health, we recognize that our colleagues are the foundation of our mission. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be compensated on a salary basis equivalent to the stated hourly range.
