Hiring Agency: Defense Commissary Agency Department: Department of Defense Location: Parris Island, South Carolina Schedule: Irregular schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. The primary purpose of a Teller is to control and account for all funds received and deposited daily as part of commissary store operations in a Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) facility. Key Responsibilities Count change fund, set up cash drawers, and verify the accuracy of each drawer. Turn on the master cash control processor and set up the office terminal(s) for the day's business. Issue change to cashiers. Operate cash register, as needed. Periodically check cash register drawers to prevent extensive fund accumulation. Bag and seal cash and checks, make up change list for secure pick up and deposit. When relying on foreign education, submit transcripts and a copy of the equivalency evaluation results letter with a course-by-course listing.
