Registered Nurse Care Coordinator (RNCC) - Pulmonary Clinic

Overview These roles involve patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow‑up. Patient Care Guidance These roles are responsible for guiding patients through the healthcare system, helping them understand their treatment plans, and coordinating care across multiple providers. Care navigators ensure that patients receive timely care and have access to resources that support their treatment journey. Clinical Specialization Individual contributors with responsibility in a clinical discipline or specialty. Typically involves diagnosing, treating, and caring for patients and often includes face‑to‑face interactions. May also spend time designing and implementing clinical programs, policies, and services using specialized knowledge and skills. A specialty license or certification, acquired through advanced education, training, and/or experience, is required. This career stream is most commonly applied to patient care and/or scientific/laboratory technologist jobs. Entry Credentials Requires basic knowledge of job procedures and tools obtained through work experience and vocational or technical education. Works under moderate supervision. Problems are typically routine but may require interpretation or deviation from standard procedures. Communicates information that requires some explanation or interpretation. Minimum Requirements Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited nursing program. Experience: 1 year of registered nursing experience required; 3 years of related and relevant registered nursing experience strongly preferred. Specialty Board Certification: strongly preferred. License/Certification: Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification is required. Physical Demands: Standing for prolonged periods, frequently traveling, bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills; attention to detail and ability to write legibly. Ability to lift/push/pull 20–50 lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids, and infectious diseases. Compensation: The starting base rate for this role is $85,820.80 annually. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
