Dental Clinic ManagerThe Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene (FSDH) is excited to announce the potential expansion to its MCPHS campus in Manchester, NH on July 1, 2027. The Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene seeks a dental clinic manager to oversee the daily operations of the dental hygiene clinic, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant clinical services. The role manages supplies, equipment, sterilization and infection control processes, regulatory documentation, student clinical resources, and emergency preparedness while supporting faculty, students, and clinic operations. This position is contingent upon the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) approval of the proposed program expansion. A decision on approval from CODA for this expansion is anticipated in March of 2027.Responsibilities include:Ordering, receiving, and maintaining all clinical and laboratory supplies with approval from the Dean, taking advantage of vendor promotions and ensuring supplies are stored safely and organized efficiently.Monitoring and maintaining supply inventories and preparing annual inventory reports documenting supply usage.Maintaining an up-to-date Excel spreadsheet of all purchase orders organized by budget code.Reviewing packing slips for accuracy, maintaining invoice records, and submitting invoices for payment approval.Overseeing ordering and distribution of student instrument kits.Coordinating meetings with the Dean, Associate Deans, Clinic Coordinators, and vendors regarding the selection of instruments, materials, and supplies for student kits.Coordinating the ADEX licensure examination process for graduating students.Managing equipment repairs, service requests, inspections, warranties, and replacement schedules.Scheduling and overseeing preventative maintenance for all clinical units and equipment.Working closely with MCPHS Facilities to submit and monitor work orders and ensure timely resolution of clinic-related issues.Responding promptly to daily equipment malfunctions and operational concerns within the clinic.Conducting proper sterilization protocols and monitoring, including documentation of biological monitoring of sterilizers, and maintaining all associated records and logs.Maintaining all clinic logs required by the Department of Public Health (DPH), University policies, and accreditation standards.Maintaining Safety Data Sheets (SDS) documentation and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.Monitoring and enforcing infection control procedures throughout the clinic.Preparing clinic supplies and materials for faculty and student use prior to and during clinical sessions.Training faculty and students on proper equipment operation, sterilization procedures, infection control protocols, and clinic safety practices.Disinfecting and sterilizing student instrument cassettes and handpieces following and during clinical sessions.Evaluating students' participation in clinical aide rotations.Working with students and faculty providing operational support as needed.Hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising work-study students.Maintaining emergency carts, including supplies, oxygen, medications, and related documentation.Coordinating medical emergency reviews, drills, and preparedness activities with Clinic Coordinators and faculty.Understanding and implementing emergency response protocols and assisting during drills and actual emergency situations.Distributing, collecting, and coordinating processing of radiation monitoring badges in collaboration with the Environmental Waste Officer.Arranging for proper handling, transportation, and disposal of hazardous and regulated waste.Providing front desk coverage and operational support as needed.Assisting with community outreach programs and ensuring appropriate supplies and materials are available for outreach activities.Collaborating with faculty, staff, vendors, and administrators to ensure the efficient, safe, compliant, and effective operation of all clinical and laboratory activities.Assisting with the setup and preparation of the clinic hosting the ADEX clinical examination.Meeting with sales representatives and maintaining professional relationships.Attending program meetings as required.Assisting with printing, proctoring tests, and running Gradescope results for faculty.Other duties as assigned.Required:Two to five years' experience in a dental setting.Dental assistant preferred.Certification in CPR Healthcare Provider.Training in infection-control protocols and OSHA compliance.Experience working in a dental /medical office or clinic.Familiarity using dental office computer software programs.Physical Requirements:Standing, sitting, manual dexterity, ability to move between offices and floors of buildings,Ability to meet deadlines and perform well under pressure.Ability to be physically in attendance at designated worksite during scheduled work hours and to work some evenings and weekends.Normal range of vision and hearing (with or without correction).Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
