Production Operator

Line Tender

The Line Tender is responsible for assisting in the efficient operation of a liquid product packaging or filling line. This role ensures that materials are supplied, equipment is running smoothly, and products are packaged according to company standards. The Line Tender works closely with machine operators, quality control, and warehouse staff to maintain productivity and product quality.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supply packaging line with materials such as bottles, caps, cartons, and labels.
• Monitor flow of product and materials to maintain consistent production.
• Inspect filled containers to ensure proper sealing, labeling, and fill levels.
• Assist with equipment start-up, changeovers, and shutdown procedures.
• Remove defective products and report any production issues to supervisor.
• Keep work area clean and organized to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Follow safety protocols when handling liquid products and equipment.
• Complete basic documentation such as batch records or quality checklists.
• Communicate with team members to support continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in manufacturing, especially in a liquid production environment, is a plus.
• Ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Basic mechanical aptitude to assist in minor equipment adjustments.
• Team player with strong attention to detail and quality.

Working conditions:

• Exposure to moving machinery, noise, and liquid materials.
• Shift work may be required, including nights or weekends.
• May work in environments requiring PPE (personal protective equipment).
