The actual salary will be determined by factors such as scope, complexity, location, skills, education, training, credentials and experience. Employees are eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards. Salary Range: $81,500.00 - $134,500.00 Target Openings: 1 What Is the Opportunity? Vendor Security Assessment System (VSAS) team within Cybersecurity organization is responsible for analyzing and providing recommendations to assist in managing cyber-related risks associated with outsourcing Travelers data to third-party vendors or service providers. We have an exciting opportunity for a Cybersecurity Technologist who will assist in the development, implementation, and execution of the Travelers Third Party Cybersecurity Risk Management Program. Successful incumbent will engage with third parties to ensure the completion of all aspects of the risk assessment of third party vendors. Assess inherent and residual risk of data transfers. Acts as the primary point of accountability for cybersecurity to business partners within assigned area. Supports and maintains security systems to ensure the integrity of company information and resources. Supports the investigation, identification, and resolution of cybersecurity events/breaches. Interfaces with internal and external entities to ensure adherence to cybersecurity procedures and policies. A well-suited candidate will possess great communication skills and a solid understanding and knowledge of cybersecurity risk control frameworks. Responsibilities Provide operational support, trouble shooting and maintenance of Security related processes, controls or products. Independently analyze and resolve problems of medium to high complexity. Configure, test, document and implement new or upgrades to security processes, controls or products as directed. Participate in resolving situations involving improper attempts to access or infiltrate our networks. Recommend changes to area procedures and products. Implement with management review. Support reviewing or identifying and responding to security events and escalating to management. Consult with business peers to support and resolve cybersecurity events. Understand and have input to the budget process, and share responsibility for cost-effective expense control of assigned projects. Participate in Security and enterprise projects as assigned. Act as a security representative at design and new technology meetings. Provide guidance to more junior employees. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline. Five years of relevant experience with Cybersecurity practices, processes, and Cybersecurity event investigation/resolution. Experience providing high-level support with a comprehensive knowledge of specific IS Security methodologies, processes, and software packages and a conceptual understanding of other IS Security procedures and policies. Problem Solving: Ability to recognize and analyze problems of average complexity and independently consider a variety of alternatives to arrive at a timely, practical and cost-effective solution. Provide management with accurate and timely status information. High school diploma or equivalent. One year of work experience within Computer Science or a related field.
