Covenant House Incorporated is seeking a part-time credentialing specialist to verify and manage the qualifications of professionals—primarily in healthcare—to ensure they meet legal, regulatory, and organizational standards. The credentialing specialist monitors patient safety and compliance by validating licenses, certifications, and work history, and managing ongoing renewals.

Key responsibilities include:

• Primary Source Verification : Reaching out to medical boards, universities, and previous employers to authenticate a provider’s education, training, and licenses.

• Application Management: Compiling and submitting initial and re-credentialing applications to hospitals, Medicare/Medicaid, and commercial insurance networks.

• Compliance & Background Screening : Performing background checks and ensuring applicants have no history of disciplinary actions or malpractice claims.

• Database Maintenance : Tracking license expiration dates, updating national registries (such as CAQH), and maintaining organized personnel files.
