Job Type: Short Term Casual Bargaining Unit: Regular/Temporary: Temporary End Date if Temporary: Hours Per Week: 10 Standard Work Schedule: Building: ARB Salary Range: $23.50- $23.50 The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. Position Summary The Department of Epidemiology at the Mailman School of Public Health is recruiting a non-student short term causal to work as a part of Dr. Orjuela-Grimm’s Migration and Nutrition Epidemiology (MANE) research group. The casual will work on varying aspects to serve the needs of the research group. The casual will work with the Health Indicator Coordinator to assist with interviews for our study population and subsequently enter and clean collected data from the interviews. The casual will assist in assembling progress reports, references, and literature reviews for grant submissions. Additionally, the casual will assist with laboratory sample inventory that is associated with the research studies of the group. Responsibilities Assist in grant submissions, 40% Data entry and cleaning, 30% Laboratory sample inventory assistance 20% Assisting in Interviews 10% Minimum Qualifications A bachelor’s degree is required. Preferred Qualifications A master’s degree in public health (MPH) Strong writing skills and familiarity with data cleaning and analysis are strongly preferred. Bilingual in Spanish and English. The successful candidate must possess a high level of initiative, clear communication skills, and attention to detail in addition to a demonstrated ability to be flexible to the evolving needs of several migration and nutrition epidemiologic studies.
