About the Position

We are seeking a full‑time Anesthesiologist for a locum tenens opportunity providing weekday daytime anesthesia services with required beeper call coverage. The physician will work in a high‑volume surgical environment with a supervision‑heavy care model (approximately 80% supervision and 20% hands‑on cases). The case mix includes general surgery, orthopedics, GI, robotics, OB, radiology, endoscopy, ophthalmology, plastics, ENT, and neuro procedures. There is no trauma coverage, and cardiac cases are handled by a dedicated cardiac team. Epic EMR is used for documentation, and catered meals are provided daily.

Shift Details:

• Day shifts Monday–Friday with 7:00 AM start times
• Schedule includes either five 8‑hour shifts or five 10‑hour shifts
• Beeper call required
• Weeknight beeper call: one week per month (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Weekend beeper call: 24‑hour coverage one weekend per month
• Care team model includes anesthesiologists and CRNAs in a collaborative environment

Coverage Dates / Schedule:

• Start date required by June 1, 2026
• Full‑time availability required every week of the month
• Minimum commitment of four weeks per month
• Ongoing need anticipated

Requirements

MD specializing in Anesthesiology
Board Certified in Anesthesiology (required)
Active Florida medical license required
ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
Must provide 24 months of case logs within 5 days of credentialing approval
Clean background with no clinical, legal, or pending issues
Maximum of 10 prior affiliations
Florida resident candidates only
Must meet prior‑employment and geographic eligibility restrictions per client policy
Willingness to participate in a clinical interview with site leadership
Credentialing timeframe approximately 120 days
