About the Position

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist, Pediatrics Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Pediatrics Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty. License: RRT, WI RCP Certifications: BLS, NRP, PALS Must-Have: - Pediatric and adult experience - Charting system experience with Epic - High-level competency in aerosol therapy and mechanical ventilation Description: Responsible for providing respiratory care to pediatric patients. Perform aerosolized medication delivery, volume expansion, and airway clearance techniques. Offer tracheostomy care and sputum induction for patients. Collaborate with the care team to implement and evaluate patient care plans. Utilize non-invasive ventilation, high flow, and mechanical ventilation techniques at IMC and ICU levels. Engage in interdisciplinary support and communicate effectively with families. Ensure high-quality patient care through adherence to established procedures. Participate in weekend rotation and on-call shifts as scheduled. Maintain proficiency in respiratory therapy skills and equipment operation. Required to float to other units as needed. Must successfully pass telemetry exams to demonstrate competency in identifying lethal rhythms. A commitment to professional development and quality care is essential.
