CT Radiologic Technologist

Windham Hospital, a comprehensive healthcare facility in Willimantic, Connecticut, is seeking a CT Radiologic Technologist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will perform high‑quality CT imaging studies in a fast‑paced clinical environment, supporting accurate diagnosis and treatment for patients across the continuum of care. Working collaboratively with radiologists, nurses, and other clinical staff, you will prepare and position patients, operate CT scanners and related equipment, follow established imaging protocols, and ensure optimal image quality while maintaining the highest standards of radiation safety. You will verify patient identification and exam orders, obtain pertinent medical history, screen for contraindications such as allergies and renal function when contrast is used, and educate patients and families about procedures to promote comfort and reduce anxiety. As a key member of a team‑oriented culture that emphasizes respect, collaboration, and commitment to community health, you will contribute to efficient workflow by managing exam schedules, prioritizing stat and emergency cases, and documenting procedures accurately in the electronic health record and PACS. Responsibilities Perform contrast injections within scope of practice and monitor patients for adverse reactions. Follow infection prevention and safety protocols. Assist in emergency situations as needed. Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement activities. Help maintain equipment and exam rooms. Stay current with advances in CT imaging through ongoing education supported by the hospital.
