We help state-run programs with infrastructure and regulatory compliance, waiver and state policy, monitoring, and operational effectiveness. Our experts assist clients in financial budgeting and reporting, rate development and value-based payment, supplemental payments, waiver neutrality, and cost sharing. We are seeking a strong Managing Consultant with experience and knowledge of national healthcare reform and its impact on state behavioral health, public health, Medicaid, and/or state and local health and human services programs, including health benefits exchanges, Medicaid expansion, Medicaid managed care, Medicaid program operations, program improvement and state compliance requirements, as well as a strong understanding about various state and local programs and policies across the country. The successful candidate will:Assist state agencies in the development of strategic plans to support the statewide implementation of healthcare reformUnderstand Medicaid eligibility requirements, processes and systemsAssist clients in assessing business and technical requirements related to the implementation of program initiativesResearch and stay abreast of all states’ healthcare transformation effortsPerform data and qualitative research activities to address state research needsDocument and communicate findings and support development of recommendations and follow-up steps to respond to findingsIdentify and collaborate with broad range of healthcare stakeholdersParticipate in analysis of client-identified issues or problemsManage projects and engagements of various sizes and durationsSupervise and support the development of staffEffectively manage client interaction and managing client expectationsProvide subject matter expertise, as requested and appropriateHelp develop business with new clients, as requestedParticipate in non-client related firm-building activitiesWhat You Will Need:Minimum Years of Experience: 5 years Minimum Degree Status: Master's Degree (Must still be enrolled in an accredited graduate program through Fall 2026 and graduate by Summer 2027) Would not require sponsorship now or anytime in the future to work in the United States; Students possessing F-1 or J-1 visas are excluded from interview schedules or being hired for this position. Must have experience in the Healthcare IndustryStrong attention to detail and deliverable preparationStrong interest in state health agencies and healthcare reform, e.g., Medicaid, public health, health insurance, and health reform organizations (legislative, executive, governor’s office)Ability to travel to meet client needs as requiredWhat Would Be Nice To Have:Superior written and oral communication skillsDegree concentration in health policy and administration, public policy, public health, social service administration or similarA strategic problem solverDemonstrated ability to self-manage task execution and manage discreet task / project / initiative functions.Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access as well as the ability to conduct research through use of the internet and other information sourcesThe ability to work overtime as necessaryAssure high-quality client work productThe annual salary range for this position is $122,000.00-$204,000.00.
