Why Join Domnovate Healthcare? 401(k) with Company Match Housing & Travel Assistance (where applicable) Opportunities Across the United States Work alongside highly skilled physicians and healthcare professionals What You’ll Do As a Surgical/Orthopedic Registered Nurse, you’ll provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and elderly patients recovering from surgical procedures while ensuring safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care. Your responsibilities include: Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing reassessments. Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans. Monitor patient conditions and promptly respond to changes in clinical status. Administer medications and IV therapies safely and accurately. Assist physicians during bedside procedures and treatments. Provide patient and family education to promote successful recovery and discharge. Specialized Clinical Skills Pre-operative and post-operative surgical care Orthopedic and trauma recovery Bariatric and general surgery patients Neurosurgical and genitourinary surgical patients Pain management Chest tube management and care PEG, G-Tube, and J-Tube management Traction therapy Jackson-Pratt, Hemovac, Percutaneous, and Sump drain management Blood transfusion therapy Central line access and maintenance IV therapy and titratable IV medication drips Stroke patient assessment utilizing the NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Cardiac monitoring and EKG interpretation Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams. Supervise and support nursing assistants and ancillary staff. Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for new team members when assigned. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs. What We’re Looking For Education Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Licensure Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license Required Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) EKG Interpretation/Telemetry Competency CPR Certification Experience Minimum 2 years of recent Surgical/Orthopedic Acute Care RN experience 5 years preferred Previous Travel Nursing experience required Ideal Candidate Compassionate and patient-focused Skilled in surgical and orthopedic nursing Comfortable working in high-acuity hospital environments Adaptable and able to thrive in fast-paced clinical settings Excellent communicators and collaborative team players Committed to delivering safe, evidence-based patient care Why You’ll Love Working with Domnovate Healthcare At Domnovate Healthcare , we connect exceptional nurses with meaningful opportunities across the country.
