Our organization is comprised of a 50-bed acute care facility, level IV trauma center, and extensive rehabilitation services. We invite you to explore the charm and natural surroundings of our community. The role involves verifying and filling orders for medications. You will monitor patient medication therapies and provide drug information. Identifying and troubleshooting potential medication safety hazards is a key responsibility. You will document all interactions for medical review and supervise support personnel. Essential functions include processing, entering, verifying, and distributing medication orders in a timely manner. You will ensure medication therapy is efficacious, safe, and cost-effective. Assuring optimal medication prescribing with respect to indication, dose, and potential interactions is vital. You will conduct daily reports on medication utilization and perform quality assurance procedures. Participation in pharmacy-related tasks and programs is required, including clinical rounds and medication management activities. Expediting changes to meet regulatory standards and participating in cost-saving initiatives is expected. Collaboration with leadership on procurement of medications and related supplies is essential. Assisting in recommendations for process improvement or development of new pharmacy services is part of the job. You will perform other job-related duties as assigned. Night shift hours are from 8:30 PM to 6:30 AM. You will work 10 hour shifts on a 7 on/7 off schedule. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. Experience with telepharmacy services is beneficial. No pharmacy technician will be present overnight, so some light compounding may be required. All pharmacists must hold ACLS and PALS certifications.
