Assistive Technology Therapist Specialist in Berkeley, CA

Desired Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education, Assistive Technology, or a related field Experience working with a wide range of assistive technology devices and software Strong knowledge of best practices in accessibility and universal design for learning Ability to conduct assessments and recommend effective technology solutions for students with diverse needs Excellent communication skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families Flexibility and creativity in problem-solving Key Responsibilities: Assess student needs through direct observation, consultation, and evaluations to determine appropriate assistive technology tools Train students, educators, and family members on the use and integration of assistive technology devices and applications Develop and update individualized plans with recommendations for technology supports Monitor student progress and adjust supports as needed to maximize access and participation Maintain thorough documentation and provide ongoing technical support for selected devices and software Stay current with advances in assistive technology and share knowledge with school teams Compensation for this position ranges from $35.00 to $60.00.
