Quality Control Technician IThe Quality Control Technician supports our expanding production. A focus on reducing cost, improving manufacturability, quality, and decreasing cycle times.Position Qualifications/Requirements:At least 1 year of experience working in qualityAt least 1 year of experience utilizing MS Office to prepare spreadsheets and inspection reportsPreferred Skills:Functional understanding of ISO9001/AS9100Enthusiastic, energetic, sense of urgency, with a track record of setting goals and achieving themExcellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to lift 50 poundsAbility to utilize other inspection equipment such as micrometers, gauge blocks, dial indicators, height gauges, optical comparators, profilometers, dial calipers, and CMMsCore Duties:Perform precision inspection/verification on machined parts, components, assemblies, and materialsFirst Article inspection, in process, and final inspection of parts and materials for workmanship, and conformance to specifications and drawingsRecord and report inspection process and resultsCommunicate with machine operators & supervisors to resolve inspection, engineering, and manufacturing challengesHelp to determine inspection procedures to ensure complete verification of specifications and dimensionsInterpret blueprints and all relevant specification sheets necessary to verify conformityObtain necessary fixtures, gauges, and indicators to check machine parts for compliance with specifications and prescribed tolerancesOther duties as assignedHours:1st shift positionMonday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.Special Requirements:Candidates that accept an offer of employment will be required to pass a background and drug screen.
