Dietary Supervisor

Villa Las Palmas Healthcare Center

*Join a Team That Believes Food Is Part of the Healing Process*

At Villa Las Palmas, we believe food is much more than nutrition, it is part of the healing process.

Every meal is an opportunity to improve a resident's quality of life, support recovery, preserve dignity, and create moments of comfort. While exceptional nursing care is essential, we believe nutrition, therapy, meaningful activities, and compassionate service work together to help residents heal and thrive.

We're not looking for someone to simply manage a kitchen. We're looking for someone who believes nutrition is one of the most powerful tools we have to help residents heal. If you see every meal as an opportunity to improve someone's health, restore dignity, and brighten their day, you'll fit right in at Villa Las Palmas.

We're seeking an experienced Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) to lead our dietary department and continue building a culture of excellence. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact every day by leading one of the most important departments in our facility.

Villa Las Palmas is a 151-bed skilled nursing facility with an experienced and dedicated dietary team. They deserve a leader who will invest in them, support their growth, and help them reach their full potential.

*What You'll Do*

As our Dietary Supervisor, you'll lead one of the most important departments in our facility. You'll create an environment where residents enjoy their meals, staff take pride in their work, and nutrition becomes an essential part of the healing journey.

Lead, coach, and develop our experienced dietary team while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and respect.

Ensure residents receive nutritious, appetizing, and high-quality meals that support healing, recovery, and quality of life.

Partner closely with our Registered Dietitian, nursing leadership, therapy, and administration to provide an exceptional dining experience for every resident.

Manage food purchasing, inventory, vendor relationships, and ordering to ensure the department is well-stocked while minimizing waste.

Develop and maintain department budgets, monitor food and supply costs, and identify opportunities to improve financial performance without compromising quality.

Oversee department scheduling and staffing to provide excellent service while effectively managing labor resources.

Ensure physician diet orders, therapeutic diets, texture-modified diets, and meal preferences are implemented accurately.

Maintain the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and infection prevention.

Ensure compliance with CMS, California Department of Public Health (CDPH), local health department regulations, and all facility policies.

Lead survey readiness efforts by maintaining an organized, compliant, and inspection-ready dietary department every day.

Monitor resident satisfaction, gather feedback, and continuously improve the dining experience.

Serve as a positive leader who builds trust, develops future leaders, and creates a workplace where employees enjoy coming to work.

*What We're Looking For*

Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification is required.

Previous leadership experience in a skilled nursing facility or healthcare dietary department.

Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations, therapeutic diets, food safety, sanitation, and dietary operations.

Experience managing food purchasing, inventory, budgets, and labor.

Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

A servant leader who enjoys coaching others and building strong teams.

Someone who takes pride in creating exceptional dining experiences for residents.

*Why Villa Las Palmas?*

At Villa Las Palmas, we believe every department has a direct impact on resident outcomes, and dietary is no exception. We are committed to building a culture where employees are supported, challenged, and recognized for the difference they make.

If you're passionate about leadership, believe nutrition plays a vital role in healing, and want to work alongside a team that shares your commitment to excellence, we'd love to meet you.

Come help us redefine what dining can look like in skilled nursing and make a lasting difference in the lives of our residents every single day.
