Outside Sales Advisor

Pre-Arrangement Advisors are responsible for generating sales through company-provided leads from multiple channels. The primary focus is in-person meetings with families and preplanning seminars, with the ability to sell remotely when necessary. The Company will provide necessary telecommunication platforms. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Convert company-provided leads into sales. Maintain a network of customers from company-provided leads. Build and maintain a network of sources to identify new sales leads. Communicate with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs, and suggest products and services to meet those needs. Demonstrate the functions and utility of products or services based on customer needs. Ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolve any post-sale issues that may arise. Use Salesforce or applicable CRM system daily. Attend daily/weekly/monthly calls, training, call blocks, floor time in the office or home. Report daily, weekly, and monthly sales and appointments to the Sales Manager. Comply with industry compliance throughout the entire sales process. Perform other responsibilities as assigned. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Certification/License: Appropriate Funeral Director License in specific states only. First 30 days of employment: complete PAA Curriculum Certification (Dignity University). Experience: 2‑5 years of business-to-consumer, inside homes/remote sales experience (preferred but not required); 1‑2 years of industry experience (preferred but not required); 3‑5 years of transferable experience. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Exceptional level of professionalism; strong telephone, interpersonal, and communication skills; high level of compassion and integrity; strong "one call/visit close" ability; multitask, set priorities, and manage appointments; experience with in‑home and/or seminar‑based sales; proficient computer skills with experience on a tablet; independent, self‑reliant, and self‑motivated; excellent customer service skills; clear and concise written and spoken communication; problem‑resolution skills; time‑management and organizational skills; Microsoft Office Suite proficiency; reliable transportation; ownership of a cellphone. WORK CONDITIONS Work Environment: Indoors and outdoors during all seasons; limited local or multi‑location travel; business casual attire required when in contact with customers. Work Postures: Frequent, continuous periods of standing; continuous sitting for many hours per day; may require climbing stairs to access buildings. Physical Demands: Manual dexterity required, including handling paperwork, calculators, computers, iPads, and phone usage; move, push, and pull up to 25 lbs.; driving to and from appointments.
