Job Overview

• Specialty: Neonatal Nurse Practitioner
• Hospital Location: Kansas City, MO 
• Setting: Inpatient
• Shifts: 24-hour shifts available.
• License: Missouri
  • Provide advanced neonatal care in multiple NICU settings across a regional system
  • Work across three primary facilities:
    • St. Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City (Level IIIB NICU, 49 beds)
    • St. Luke’s East (Level IIIA NICU, 15 beds)
    • St. Luke’s North (Level II NICU + well-baby coverage)
  • Deliver care for critically ill and premature newborns in Level II–III NICUs
  • Participate in in-house coverage shifts (12-hour and 24-hour)
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including neonatologists and maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) specialists
  • Support well-baby nursery coverage as needed
  • Manage admissions, daily care, and stabilization of neonates
  • Respond to neonatal emergencies and transfers within the system
  • Maintain high standards of clinical documentation and patient safety
