Compensation $10.00 to $13.00 per hour. Commission up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $1.35 per hour on top of the hourly rate. Most stores open at 9:00 AM and close at 6:00 PM; many stores are closed on Sundays. Access to the FirstCash Pet Insurance program. Position Summary We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates for our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The role involves greeting, engaging, and interacting with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions. A successful associate thrives on engaging with customers and assists with inquiries and problem resolution. The position requires handling a wide variety of merchandise, including jewelry, general merchandise, tools, electronics, and firearms (in FFL locations). Responsibilities Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions. Performs non‑management open/close procedures. Maintains clean, stocked sales floor and displays merchandise. Processes sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements. Handles cash and negotiable items per company policies and regulatory requirements. Responds to incoming calls following company standards. Effectively communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers. Communicates respectfully with coworkers and managers, using effective communication tools. Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience. Successfully completes assigned training. Other related duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements & Qualifications Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds. Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods of time (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting). Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified. Must be willing to assist customers on the exterior of the building or retrieve products from exterior storage areas. Minimum age 18 years old. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. Strong desire to work with customers, be team‑oriented, and serve people. Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment. Proficient basic math calculations. Cash handling experience preferred. Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate. Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays. Commission Plan Information The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to FirstCash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2–8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Details will be provided during the interview process.
