We are looking for a Class A CDL Driver / Mold Repair Support position is a dual-role position responsible for the safe and timely transportation of molds, tooling, equipment, and related materials between King Machine and customer locations.

The primary responsibility of this position will be making scheduled pickups and deliveries. However, there will be times when no pickups or deliveries are scheduled. During those times, the employee will be expected to work in the shop and assist departments that are short-handed or need additional manpower.

This position is not solely a driving position. The ideal candidate must be dependable, flexible, safety-conscious, and willing to assist with mold repair and general shop operations when not on the road. The shift is from Monday through Thursday 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Additional hours may occasionally be required depending on delivery schedules, customer needs, and production requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Safely operate company trucks requiring a Class A CDL for local and regional pickups and deliveries.

·       Transport molds, tooling, equipment, and related materials between King Machine and customer locations.

·       Load and unload molds and tooling using forklifts, hoists, cranes, or other lifting equipment.

·       Properly secure all loads to ensure safe transportation.

·       Complete all required delivery, pickup, and transportation paperwork accurately.

·       Communicate with management and the Mold Repair team regarding pickup and delivery schedules.

·       Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.

·       Maintain cleanliness and organization of company vehicles.

·       Represent King Machine professionally while at customer and supplier locations.

·       Assist with Shipping and Receiving, including loading and unloading trucks, preparing outgoing shipments, receiving incoming molds and materials, and maintaining an organized shipping and receiving area.

·       When no pickups or deliveries are scheduled, assist with production and mold repair operations in departments as needed, including Disassembly, Preload, Hand Finish, Assembly, and Shipping and Receiving.

Perform other general shop and mold repair support duties as assigned based on production needs.

Qualifications:

·       Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.

·       Acceptable driving record.

·       Ability to safely operate commercial vehicles and trailers.

·       Experience transporting industrial equipment, machinery, molds, or similar heavy loads preferred.

·       Knowledge of proper load securement procedures.

·       Forklift experience or certification preferred; willingness to obtain certification if necessary.

·       Ability to safely use or work around forklifts, hoists, cranes, and other material-handling equipment.

·       Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and assist with loading and unloading.

·       Ability and willingness to perform hands-on shop work when not driving.

·       Strong attention to safety and detail.

·       Dependable and punctual.

·       Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Willingness to work Fridays and additional hours when business needs require.
