The COO will be responsible for leading the development of operational infrastructure to support a multi-state network of schools, ensuring that operational systems and processes align with the organization's academic and growth priorities. This includes overseeing school operations, facilities, human resources, technology, compliance, and other network-wide operational systems. The successful candidate will be expected to build and manage high-performing operations teams, strengthen organizational infrastructure for growth, and establish consistent, data-driven operational systems across the network. The role also involves supporting new school launches and expansion, as well as managing legal affairs, risk, and technology. Candidates for the COO position at the company should have a proven track record in achieving operational goals, with at least five years of leadership experience in complex, multi-site, or rapidly growing organizations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in change management, be adept at making data-driven decisions, and have the ability to lead effectively in high-growth environments. A Bachelor's degree is required, with a preference for an MBA or related Master's degree. The COO must demonstrate a deep commitment to the mission and values of the organization, particularly in the areas of equity, justice, and serving historically underserved communities.
