Audiologist – Veteran Disability Assessments

We are looking for a committed Audiologist to become a part of our team, focusing on conducting medical evaluations for U.S. Veterans as a component of the VA's disability benefits process. In this position, you will examine the Veteran's medical history, which is securely uploaded to a digital portal, prior to administering a Maryland CNC Test and Puretone Audiometric test. Following these assessments, you will fill out a Disability Benefits Questionnaire (DBQ) within the portal, creating the necessary medical documentation for the VA to assess the Veteran’s eligibility for benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform in-person disability evaluations for U.S. Veterans.
• Examine and interpret electronic medical records through a secure online portal.
• Thoroughly document examination results and complete the required VA forms.

Note: This position does not include prescribing any medical treatments or devices. The determination of disability is made by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) , not by the provider.

Position Details:

• Schedule: Full-Time (Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM).
• Location: In-person role.
• Caseload: Average of 3-6 Veterans per day.
• Equipment Provided: Computer and all necessary documentation tools.

Requirements:

• Possesses an Au.D. and has graduated from an ASHA Accredited Institution.
• Holds a valid license as an Audiologist.
• Comfortable utilizing technology for record review and documentation.
