Overview Screen patient medical records for nutritional risk factors and assessment needs, obtain clinical information, and provide nutritional care, basic dietary instructions, and general nutrition education. Essential Functions Assess nutritional needs of patients by reviewing medical records and conducting interviews. Develop and implement nutrition care plans based on patient needs and medical conditions. Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting nutrition care plans as needed. Provide nutrition education to patients and their families. Maintain accurate and complete patient records. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Education Requirement Associate's Degree in Nutrition from an Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) approved program, required. Licensure Requirement Not specified. Certifications Dietitian Technician Registered (DTR) or Registration Eligible with completion of exam within 3 months of hire, required. Skills Highly proficient technical skills. Ability to work accurately and efficiently in various organizational systems. Experience Experience as a dietetic technician, preferred. Clinical pediatric experience, preferred.
