About the Position

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Critical Care Float Pool – Upstate New York

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Upstate New York

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM. Float pool assignment with rotation to multiple critical care and acute care units throughout the facility.

Highlights:

• Float pool position serving a 42-bed critical care environment with flexibility to multiple units including ICU, IMCU, Emergency Department, and Medical-Surgical
• Diverse case mix including neuro/medical patients (strokes, sepsis, neuro interventions), CTICU (cardiovascular surgery, cardiogenic shock), and surgical/trauma post-operative care
• Experience with specialty equipment including IABP, CRRT, ventriculostomy, ICP monitoring, and targeted temperature management (TTM)
• Epic EMR system in use
• Night shift schedule with potential for block scheduling based on operational needs
• Travel nursing experience required; local candidates considered

Requirements:

• Active New York RN license required at time of application
• Minimum 2+ years of ICU experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Travel nursing experience mandatory
• Must be willing to float across multiple units including critical care, emergency department, and medical-surgical (assignments may include 6-7 patients on MS units)
• NURSYS report and license verification for all active RN licenses required
• Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at time of application
