Associate Bankruptcy Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks an Associate Bankruptcy Attorney in Newark, DE. This hybrid/remote position allows work from any of the firm's regional offices in PA, NJ, NY, or DE. The role involves managing bankruptcy and lending client case portfolios from start to finish. Ideal candidates will have 1-3 years of bankruptcy experience, including drafting pleadings and court appearances. Duties Draft legal pleadings, notices of hearings, motions, and orders. Research and analyze statutes, judicial decisions, and legal articles. Update case management system to ensure data integrity. Travel to court and client sites as necessary. Communicate and collaborate with clients and internal staff. Identify legal issues requiring additional review. Manage a high volume of files with accuracy and attention to detail. Attend hearings, settlement conferences, and court appearances. Review and correct case work prepared by paralegals. Requirements J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school. New Jersey Bar Admission required; PA or NY admission a bonus. 1-3 years of bankruptcy court and litigation experience preferable. Experience with electronic case management systems; CaseAware a plus. Knowledge of relevant laws, legal codes, and court procedures. Outstanding written and oral communication skills. Ability to interact and collaborate positively with clients and employees. Flexibility, self-direction, and motivation. Outstanding organizational skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office products. Valid Driver's License. Education J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school. Certifications New Jersey Bar Admission required. Skills Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
