Beacon Hill is hiring a Staff Accountant for a growing organization seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on role, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is looking to expand their accounting expertise while supporting key financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and financial analysis.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Support cash management activities, banking transactions, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation for internal stakeholders and external auditors.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with company policies.
• Research accounting issues, analyze variances, and recommend solutions to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and help strengthen internal controls.
• Provide backup support to members of the accounting team and assist with special projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1+ years of accounting experience; experience within financial services, banking, or a corporate accounting environment is a plus.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and fundamental accounting principles.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to analyze and manipulate large data sets.
• Experience working with ERP systems such as NetSuite, PeopleSoft, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms preferred.
• Exposure to reporting or data automation tools such as Power Query, Alteryx, or Python is a plus.
