What your day as a plumbing service estimator looks like.
Here's the kind of work you'll be excited to dive into:
- Evaluate plumbing projects and prepare accurate cost estimates and proposals
- Analyze blueprints, project plans, and specifications to develop detailed estimates
- Conduct site visits to assess scope, conditions, and feasibility
- Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing
- Prepare and submit professional proposals for residential and commercial jobs
- Support sales and operations by identifying scope, estimating costs, and shaping bid strategies
- Stay current on plumbing codes, cost trends, and industry standards
- Evaluate bid opportunities and suggest cost-effective solutions or alternatives
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams
- Maintain organized records of all estimates and associated documentation
When you'll work as a plumbing service estimator.
This full-time project estimating role works Monday through Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm.
What we're looking for in a plumbing service estimator.
We'd love to hear from you if you:
- High school diploma or GED
- 35 years of experience in plumbing estimating, construction, or a related field
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Strong understanding of plumbing systems, installation methods, and applicable codes
- Proficiency in estimating software (i.e., Housecall Pro) and Google Workspace
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple estimates and meet deadlines
Bonus:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
