The Corporate Strategy & Development ("CSD") group is responsible for shaping the future strategic direction of the company in addition to identifying and vetting potential M&A targets for the company. CSD reports directly to RTX's President & CEO and the team serves as advisors to company leadership on the highest value issues and opportunities facing the company.

What You Will Do:

This position will be responsible for supporting Corporate Development / M&A / Strategy projects. The candidate must be a highly analytical, structured thinker with a strong financial foundation and must have the ability to take initiative, set strategic priorities, take ownership of assigned projects / tasks and independently drive for results.
  • Contribute to acquisitions, divestitures, other financial transactions and strategic opportunities by assisting with financial modeling, and executing due diligence
  • Support the preparation of senior-level briefings, which involves summarizing and communicating insights at the right level from detailed analyses
  • Monitor and evaluate and key peers including tracking recent events, analyzing financial statements and preparing earnings summaries
  • Support portfolio analysis, which involves assessing capabilities and financial metrics against strategy and market opportunities
  • Conduct market, competitive, and financial analyses to assess trends, threats, or opportunities
  • Support the development and execution of RTX's enterprise and business unit strategies
  • Support integration or separation planning activities for businesses undergoing acquisition or divestiture
  • Balance multiple projects while providing clear thinking and excellent attention to detail in a dynamic work environment
Qualifications You Must Have:
  • BA/BS required with 2-3 years of work experience. MBA and/or advanced degree from a nationally recognized program.
  • Prior transactional or diligence experience (at an investment bank, corporate development role, or top-tier consulting firm)
  • Strong problem-solving skills (prioritization, critical thinking, hypothesis creation, etc.)
  • Ability to think pragmatically - not just theoretically - and drive execution of concepts
  • Proven analytical and financial modeling skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required

  • Familiarity with financial data services (S&P Capital IQ, Factset) a plus
  • Strong ability and/or experience in developing relationships; able to develop credibility and earn respect with individuals at all organizational levels
  • Ability to quickly identify, understand and manage organizational impacts of business strategy and process change
  • Preferably a base of aerospace and defense domain knowledge

This position is classified as:

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee's personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 95,500 USD - 181,700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
