The Alaska Psychiatric Institute (API) is recruiting for a Psychiatric Nurse 3. What you will be doing: The Infection Control Nurse oversees the Infection Control and Employee Health Programs at API. This role is responsible for monitoring immunization status, tracking infections, and identifying areas of potential risk. The nurse maintains accurate health and infection-related records and provides education to both current and onboarding staff. Additional responsibilities include ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies, revising policies and procedures to reflect updates in regulations or statutes, and serving as an active member of the Environment of Care Team. In this capacity, the nurse collaborates with hospital leadership, offering consultation and guidance on infection prevention matters.
