Corporate M&A Associate - Portland

We are seeking a mid-level associate (2nd–5th year) to join the Corporate Practice Group in our Portland office. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience advising clients on a wide range of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, transaction execution, corporate governance, securities compliance, entity formation and maintenance, and corporate finance. Our team represents a roster of sophisticated, high-quality clients, offering associates the opportunity to work on complex, high-impact transactions across a variety of industries. Responsibilities Advise clients on corporate matters such as mergers & acquisitions, transaction execution, corporate governance, securities compliance, entity formation & maintenance, and corporate finance. Represent a portfolio of sophisticated, high‑quality clients on complex, high‑impact transactions across multiple industries. Manage multiple transactions and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment while delivering strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical support. Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to a supportive, energizing environment that promotes success for clients and team members. Qualifications J.D. from a top‑tier law school with excellent academic credentials. Active bar admission (Oregon preferred or eligibility to waive in). Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. Collaborative mindset and strong client service orientation. Compensation & Benefits Base salary range: $185,000 - $255,000 per year. Bonus potential of up to $106,000, depending on years of practice, experience, and performance. Unlimited paid time off (PTO), 401(k), and a full benefits package.
