Position Summary

The Dispatcher coordinates daily aircraft fueling operations to ensure safe, timely, and efficient service. Working from the airport control center, this role monitors flight schedules, assigns fuelers to gates, and maintains clear communication with flight crews and ground staff.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Monitor aircraft schedules from the control center and assign fuelers to corresponding airport gates
• Serve as the operational “eyes in the sky” to ensure timely and safe fuel dispatching
• Manage and coordinate a team of up to 10 fuelers per shift to help flight operations
• Communicate with aircraft representatives and fueling staff while maintaining accurate records and planning for upcoming arrivals
• Perform additional duties as assigned to meet operational needs

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Possess and maintain a valid U.S. driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle record in accordance with company standards
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Ability to maintain reliable transportation to and from the assigned work location
• Availability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
• Ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance
• Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and applicable background checks, including federal fingerprinting, in accordance with regulatory requirements
• Ability to access all areas of the airport necessary to perform job duties, including secured areas, in compliance with airport and federal regulations
• Ability to obtain and maintain any required government security clearance; employment is contingent upon successful completion of all applicable background checks and clearance requirements as determined by the contracting agency

Preferred Qualifications :

• Previous experience as a dispatcher (e.g., emergency services, transportation, or logistics)
• Administrative or coordination experience utilizing computer-based systems
• Background in logistics, commercial aviation, or supply chain operations

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to address routine operational challenges
• Basic mathematical proficiency
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance guidelines, and procedural manuals
• Ability to effectively communicate in English as required to perform job duties and support safe operations in the airport environment, including during emergencies or situations requiring a shared language for safety
• Ability to understand and carry out instructions provided in written, verbal, or diagram form
• Proficiency with computer systems and common workplace software applications, including Microsoft Office applications, data entry and operational reporting systems
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and complete tasks with minimal supervision
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced operational environment

Mobility and Access

Lifting and Carrying

• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally for handling documentation, equipment, or operational supplies

Standing and Movement

• Ability to regularly sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, reach, stoop, and kneel for extended periods

Manual Dexterity

• Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and other office equipment

Sensory Requirements

• Ability to hear and effectively respond to verbal instructions and workplace sounds including alarms with or without reasonable accommodation
• Work is performed in an environment with moderate noise levels such as computers, phones and office equipment
• Ability to meet vision requirements including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

Environmental and Working Conditions

• Work primarily in a climate-controlled control center with periodic exposure to outdoor airport environments
• Tolerate varying weather conditions, aircraft noise, vibration, fumes, and moving vehicles when entering ramp areas
• Use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) per company and airport safety standards
