Solo Owner Operator Gross Pay: Expect OTR average gross of 5K to 8K+ per week during this post-COVID market. Could be better, but we are working. We conserve fuel by booking shorter runs and avoiding long hauls (2000 to 3000 miles per week). Most average owners on an average week earn 6k to 7k weekly even in this market. Team drivers may earn about 1.7 times more gross per peak, peaking at about 13k per week. We may or may not consider hiring teams; this market supports shorter runs and is not conducive to team driving. Wanted: Owner Operators with 2+ years of experience who have reliable trucks. Gross earnings depend on availability and miles driven. We typically book loads at about 2.30+ per mile; peak seasons may be higher. Rates vary with freight demand, season, location, and market trends. Some owners earn less due to drive time; others earn more with more miles.
